Summer School on Sensory Heritage and Sensitive Memories in the Balkans

Our co-founder, Annia Korneeva, proudly participated in the 3rd Summer School, The Balkans. Spaces, Societies, History, held at University Sveti Kliment Ohridski, Sofia, and University Paisii Hilendarski, Plovdiv, from July 1-5, 2024.

This enriching program explored themes of sensory heritage and the role of sensitive memories in shaping cultural identity. Annia presented her research, contributing to meaningful discussions on preserving and interpreting the region’s complex histories through sensory and emotional connections.

Bringing together scholars and practitioners, the summer school fostered interdisciplinary dialogue on heritage, history, and memory within the Balkan context.
